October 5, 1999 was the debut of
Angel. Alongside with David Boreanaz, Charisma
Capenter had left Buffy to star beside David,
reprising her role as Cordelia Chase. Angel and
Cordelia open an agency with the goal to help
people. They are joined by Doyle, played by Glenn
Quinn (who is you may know as Mark from Rosanne),
a half-demon, half human who helps out Angel and
Cordelia.
Angel, once known as Angelus, is a
vampire with a soul. But carries a lifelong guilt
from the humans he had killed in the past. The
247 year old vampire wants to redeem himself.
After realizing that he can't be with Buffy no
more because he will lose his soul and become the
evil vampire he once was, he leaves her and
Sunnydale and move to Los Angeles, The City of
Angels, where he helps the innocent from other
vampires and demons.
Next weeks episode:
Are You Now or Have You Ever
Been?
Angel directs Cordelia and Wesley
in the investigation of an abandoned hotel in
Hollywood.
David is set to star in WB
thriller "Valentine" in 2001. Based on
Tom Savage novel about a college nerd who is the
victim of a vicious practical joke by four women.
A decade later, he is handsome, charismatic and
successful, but still has a hatred for the women.
After killing three of the four women on
successive Valentine's Days, he has just one more
to go. David plays Adam Carr, also starring
Denise Richards (Starship Troopers).
