DARK ANGEL is a futuristic drama series from Academy Award-winner James Cameron ("Titanic", "True Lies", "Terminator") and Emmy Award-winner Charles H. Eglee ("Murder One", "Moonlighting").

Max Guevera (Jessica Alba) is a genetically-enhanced human prototype. In 2009, she and others like her, escaped from their "jail" when she was 10 years old. Some of her friends didn't make it, but with the help from a woman, she was able to get away. Ten years after, living in a 21 Century depression, she is being hunted by the military, the military that she successfully escaped from ten years earlier. Her only goal is to find and reunite with the other children that escaped the same night. She then meets up with Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly), an idealistic cyber-journalist battling repression and corruption in post-apocalypse. Max and Logan join forces and take on the ruthless power-brokers and criminals of the new millennium.

Also FYI, FOX Network orders 9 additional episodes of Dark Angel. Season extended to a total of 20 episodes plus the original 2-hour Pilot.

James Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada on August 16, 1954. He moved to the USA in 1971. The son of an engineer he majored in physics at the California State University, but after graduating drove a truck to support his screenwriting. He landed his first professional film job as art director, miniature-set builder, and process projection supervisor on Roger Corman's Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) and debuted as a director with Piranha II: The Spawning (1981) the following year. In 1984 he wrote and directed Terminator, The (1984), a futuristic action-thriller starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton.

It was a huge success. After this came a string of successful science-fiction action films such as Aliens (1986), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). Cameron is now one of the most sought after directors in Hollywood. He was formerly married to producer Gale Anne Hurd, who produced several of his films. He married Kathryn Bigelow in 1989.
